How to make it

  • Tear bread into small pieces, crumbs and crust; there should be 6 cups of coarse crumbs.
  • Melt butter in a large saucepan and add celery and onion, and cook while stirring constantly until soft. Add bread and seasonings and toss together until well mixed. Cool. Add the liquid, mix light with a fork. Bake at 350° for 25-30 minutes, or until heated through.
