Long Grain And Wild Rice

- 1 cup *parboiled* long grain enriched rice (white rice) shopping list
- 1/3 cup wild rice shopping list
- 1 tsp parsley flakes shopping list
- 1/2 tsp dry chopped onion flakes shopping list
- 1/2 tsp sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp dry celery flakes shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground ginger shopping list
- 1/4 tsp black pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp onion powder shopping list
- 1/4 tsp ground turmeric shopping list
- 1 chicken bouillon cube shopping list
- 1 tbsp butter shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups of water shopping list
How to make it
- Mix everything together in a saucepan that has a cover.
- Add water, and bring it to a boil, while stirring.
- Once it’s boiling, turn heat down to low, cover it, and allow to simmer for 25 minutes, or until the water is absorbed (stir every 15 minutes).
- (Note: If you leave off the wild rice, make sure you remember to reduce the salt. Otherwise it comes out too salty.)
