How to make it

  • Mix everything together in a saucepan that has a cover.
  • Add water, and bring it to a boil, while stirring.
  • Once it’s boiling, turn heat down to low, cover it, and allow to simmer for 25 minutes, or until the water is absorbed (stir every 15 minutes).
  • (Note: If you leave off the wild rice, make sure you remember to reduce the salt. Otherwise it comes out too salty.)

    Note: The wild rice came out undercooked.

    Next time try:
    Try 3/4 cup white rice, and 1/4 cup wild rice, 2 1/2 cups water and cooking it longer.
