My husband got this recipe from a friend at work. It's strong-tasting but very savory and filling.

Ingredients
  • 1-1/2 lbs ground chuck
  • Small dash salt
  • 1 lb smoked sausage, sliced
  • 15 oz. tomato sauce
  • 2 cans tomato soup
  • 1 can black-eyed peas with jalapenos
  • 1 can Mexicorn, or whole-kernel corn with red and green bell pepper
  • Cavender's Greek seasoning

Directions
  1. Brown ground chuck, salting very lightly.
  2. Lightly brown sausage, just till grease shows.
  3. Mix all ingredients and cook on low, stirring often, till flavors marry, at least 3-4 hours.
