Orange Slice Cake

Really odd but groovy cake recipe :) Once again... big hit with my (former) co-workers.
Ingredients
- • 2 sticks butter, softened shopping list
- • 2 cups sugar shopping list
- • 4 eggs shopping list
- • 4 cups flour shopping list
- • 1 can coconut shopping list
- • 1 lb orange slice candy, chopped shopping list
- • ¼ tsp salt shopping list
- • ¼ tsp baking soda shopping list
- • 1 1/3 cups buttermilk shopping list
- • 2 cups chopped nuts shopping list
- • 1 small can orange juice shopping list
- • 1 lb Ten-X sugar shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Preheat oven to 300.
- 2. Cream butter and sugar together in a large bowl. In a small bowl mix flour, salt and soda.
- 3. Add eggs, on at a time to butter/sugar mixture.
- 4. Alternately add buttermilk and flour mixture to butter/sugar mixture. Mix well.
- 5. Fold in coconut, candy and nuts last.
- 6. Pour into a well-greased and floured Bundt pan. Bake at 300 for one hour or more.
- 7. Make glaze from frozen orange juice and Ten-X sugar.
- 8. Pour over hot cake.
