How to make it

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease and flour a Bundt pan.
  • 2. For cake: combine cake mix, eggs, apple juice, oil and cinnamon in large bowl. Beat at medium speed for 2 minutes.
  • 3. Toss apples with flour in medium bowl. Fold flour-coated apples and chopped pecans into batter. Pour into pan.
  • 4. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Cool in pan 25 minutes. Invert on serving plate. Cool completely.
  • 5. For frosting: combine butter, sugars, and whipping cream in small heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil over medium heat; boil 1 minute.
  • 6. Remove from heat; cool 20 minutes. Add confectioner’s sugar and vanilla. Blend with wooden spoon until smooth and thick.
  • 7. Spread frosting over completely cooled cake and garnish with pecan halves.
