Cheesy Fish Fillet

- 2 cream dory fish fillets, cut into 3x1 1/2-inch pieces shopping list
- 2 tablespoons oil shopping list
- paprika for sprinkling (optional) shopping list
- salt and pepper shopping list
For the cheese sauce
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour shopping list
- 2 tablespoons butter shopping list
- 1/2 cup milk shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 1/3 cup grated melting cheese shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cheese spread shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Clean fish and pat dry. Season well with salt and pepper; set aside.
- 2. Make the cheese sauce: Heat pan and add flour, toast for 2 to 3 minutes then add butter. When sizzling, slowly add milk and water while whisking continuously. Add grated cheese and cheese spread. Whisk until smooth. Turn off heat and keep warm.
- 3. Heat oil in a nonstick pan. Fry fish fillets for 1 to 2 minutes on each side or until cooked.
- 4. Arrange in a container. Sprinkle paprika if desired.
