How to make it

  • Cook gooseberries with 1 cup water in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles.
  • When it cools down strain the gooseberries and deseed it.
  • Grind them in a food processor to a paste.
  • Heat ghee in a pan, add this paste to it along with sugar and lemon juice and stir it well.
  • Fry till a thick consistency, till mixture leaves the pan and stirring becomes tough.
  • Grease a plate, transfer this mixture on it and flatten the mixture.
  • When it cools down cut it to squares and store in container.
  • No refrigeration required.
