- 1 lb Indian gooseberries shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp lemon juice shopping list
- 1tsp ghee/butter shopping list
How to make it
- Cook gooseberries with 1 cup water in a pressure cooker for 2 whistles.
- When it cools down strain the gooseberries and deseed it.
- Grind them in a food processor to a paste.
- Heat ghee in a pan, add this paste to it along with sugar and lemon juice and stir it well.
- Fry till a thick consistency, till mixture leaves the pan and stirring becomes tough.
- Grease a plate, transfer this mixture on it and flatten the mixture.
- When it cools down cut it to squares and store in container.
- No refrigeration required.
