How to make it

  • Separate the leaves of clean romaine lettuce and lay them in a 9 x 13 pan.
  • Drizzle on olive oil, salt and pepper and crushed garlic
  • Toss lettuce to coat well
  • After you are done grilling your burgers, steak, chicken etc, lay on the romaine leaves and grill them over high heat till they get a little brown
  • Remove to a platter, squeeze on fresh lemon juice and drizzle a bit of anchovy oil and pieces of anchovy over the salad.
  • Garnish with shaved Parmesan if desired
  • Serve while warm
  • Note: no croutons on this salad
  • Enjoy!
