A common trend for the last 4 or 5 years, among wing eateries. has been the sweet hot sauce, which is just Franks and Honey Garlic. First of all, honey garlic, in so far as wing places go, is ,while serviceable, less than stellar if you've bothered to do it from scratch. Read more On top of that Cayenne, while a great source of heat, is not a great source of flavour. Having said that chipottle is too expensive for a wing sauce. For a chicken breast, substitute chipottle peppers for Jalapeno's in this recipe, unless you love jalepenos. Also, chipotle peppers are not Chippendale's peppers, nor jalepenos, Pentecostal, really, they're real words despite what my spell check says. See less
Ingredients
- 3 cups honey shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic shopping list
- 1/2 cup jalapeno peppers shopping list
- 1/4 t spoon salt shopping list
How to make it
- Chop the peppers as fine as you can, unless you have an electric grinder.
- Grind the peppers, salt, and garlic, into a paste, using the salt to add an abrasive which will help break the garlic and peppers down.
- Mix the crushed garlic and peppers with the honey, and pour over a white meat.
