How to make it

  • Roll each roll into a 14 to 15-inch rope. Twist rope around each hot dog 4 or 5 times, securing ends in dough. Place on a large sprayed baking sheet. Bake immediately at 350°F 15-20 minutes or until golden brown. Serve immediately with desired condiments.
  • These curly dogs may also be cooked over hot coals at a summer cookout.

    Hot Diggety Dog!
    Now let me get the directions correct...The lever is tripped,the all beef doggie breaks into a run,you throw the rope of dough in a loop around that run away,then make the rope tight.With your feet on the ground you pull that doggie around,then you tie three using a 'half-hitch' knot...Well,you did state a marriage made in heaven with taste buds did'nt you...and my understanding is that ole 'Curly' is a great roper :o)
    If the rhodes rope stays tied around that all beef steer of a hot dog for six seconds ,then you'er a winner.
    ~ but ~
    If you want to be the top roper your goin' have to accomplish all this from start to finish in 15 seconds or less.
    Then ya' throw this whole critter creation over a heap of hot coals and bake
    Now have I got all that right?
    I reckon I will just call this recipe the...' RHODES RODEO'
