Ginger Creams With Lemon Icing

- 1/3 c. butter shopping list
- 1/2 c. sugar shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 c. molasses shopping list
- 1/2 c. water shopping list
- 2 c. flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. ginger shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. nutmeg shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cloves shopping list
- 1/2 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- Icing: shopping list
- 2 c. powdered sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp. grated lemon zest or 1/2 tsp. lemon extract or 1 drop lemon oil shopping list
- 2 tbsp. corn syrup shopping list
How to make it
- Cream butter and sugar; break egg into measuring cup and add molasses (Like that awesome trick? Molasses doesn't have to be messy!). Add to butter and sugar along with water and mix well. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Chill for one hour. Drop by teaspoonfuls on greased baking sheet and bake at 350 for 8 minutes or until cookie leaves a very slight imprint when lightly touched. While cookies are a bit warm frost with Lemon Icing.
- Icing: Mix all ingredients together until smooth.
