How to make it

  • 1st. mix Drakes and Beer in bowl.
  • 2nd. Get your plates or pans around with paper towel to absorb oil fats.
  • 3nd. BATTER UP! with a fork grab a bite size piece of bird dip into batter
  • 4th. place into fryer and cook till floating or just before too dark in color. (internal temp of 160)
  • Enjoy!

    Drakes is the name of a dry fry batter. can buy it at grocery stores up here. Also my guy is a fisherman for a living and he brings walleye and whitefish fresh from the great lake and we like to use this dry Drakes fry mix on our fish. So delicious. Hope I helped.

    Don't know what Drakes is--guess you learn something new everyday.
    Trying to look it up I found that there is a fishing lure (fly) called a Drake that I already knew about and a Drake company that is connected with Hostess, but my guess is it's some sort of seasoned breading--is that correct?
    I love game recipes and there are several hunting/game groups here that you can add your recipe too if you wish.
