Honestly, this is delish- you can get your kids to enjoy this and adults love it too. Being a peanut butter lover I came up with this recipe and it can be adjusted to make it really company fare. Ingredients
- 1 large butternut squash- (cooked seeded etc ) shopping list
- 2-3 Tbs peanut butter to taste : crunchy or smooth shopping list
- salt to taste shopping list
- Additions: chopped peanuts, honey, butter,dash of nutmeg or cinnamon shopping list
- Optional Garnish: l chopped peanuts esp honey roasted peanuts or here is a way to use up some of your home made candied nut recipes too shopping list
How to make it
- Cook squash by your favorite method
- Place drained cooked squash in a bowl while hot
- Add peanut butter and stir to melt
- Add whatever else you like
- I usually also add a Tbs of butter
- Garnish top if desired with crushed peanuts: plain or honey roasted
