Sofrito is used in mostly all of Puerto Rican dishes.
Ingredients
- 3-4 stems & leaves of cilantro shopping list
- 2 cloves of garlic shopping list
- 1 medium to large green bell pepper shopping list
- 1 medium to large onion shopping list
- 3 recao leaves (If available where you live) if not use more cilantro, can get from local asian or hispanic markets shopping list
- 3 ajices dulce (small sweet peppers) If Available where you live. Can get from asian or local hispanic markets shopping list
- For color you can put a packet of sazon into the mixture if you want some color. shopping list
How to make it
- Mix ingredients in a blender or food processor. Make sure not to puree it just mix until you think its combined enough.
