While on business in VA, I had dinner at this great little European bistro that had this meal on it's menu. At the end of the meal, when they asked if there was anything else they could get me, I said, "yes! Read more the recipe to that dinner!" I was joking and didn't expect a serious response, but they obliged me. I've made this many times since, mostly for special occasions or to impress a date. See less
Ingredients
- salmon fillet shopping list
- 1 lb Lump crab Meat shopping list
- 1 spoon mayonaise shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- salt shopping list
- Old Bay Seasoning shopping list
- lemon juice to taste shopping list
- bread crumbs shopping list
How to make it
For the Rolade
- 1. Mix all ingredients together, adding the crab meat last.
- 2. Butterfly salmon fillet, fill, then roll in plastic wrap
- 3. Put in freezer for 10-15 minutes, unwrap and slice into pinwheels
- 4. Bake or broil it
For the Sauce
- For the sauce, mix fresh dill with a plain yogurt and/or sour cream base, add lemon to taste. Then serve.
