Whole Wheat Pear Bread

- 2 large ripe pears peeled and diced shopping list
- 1/2 cup dried cranberries or dried cherries ( or raisins or chopped nuts ) shopping list
- 2 1/4 cups white whole wheat flour shopping list
- 1/2 cup light brown sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp baking soda shopping list
- dash salt shopping list
- 1/4 cup oil shopping list
- 1 tsp grated lemon peel shopping list
- 1 cup plain Greek yogurt shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 tsp nutmeg shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350F
- Grease and flour a 9 x 5 loaf pan
- Combine dry ingredients
- Combine wet ingredients and beat to blend
- Combine both mixtures and beat to mix
- Batter will be thick!
- Blend in the pears and cranberries , batter will loosen up
- Place mixture in prepared loaf pan
- Bake until a toothpick in center comes out clean in center
- Cool in pan 10 minutes
- Carefully tip loaf out of the pan
- Cool completely
