Husband's Braised Short Ribs

- 2.5 lb boneless beef short ribs shopping list
- 2 tbsp. canola oil shopping list
- 1 large sweet yellow onion, sliced shopping list
- 3 tablespoons double concentrated tomato paste shopping list
- 1 cup water shopping list
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed shopping list
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar shopping list
- 1 heaping tsp. Dijon mustard shopping list
- 1 tsp. worcestershire sauce shopping list
- 2 tablespoon soy sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Season meat with salt and pepper and sear each side in hot oil; add onions. Blend together remaining ingredients and pour mixture over meat. Cover and simmer for 6 hours, until meat is tender. Skim off fat.
- We poured the flavorful braising liquid over steamed jasmine and it was perfect.
