How to make it

  • Boil until it forms a soft lump when dropped into cold water, remove from fire. Beat until it begins to thicken, then add 1 cup chopped walnuts and vanilla. Pour into buttered dish.

    I will try this I have been searching for years for my grandmother fudge my only decription of it is that it has a chalk like consistence when you bite into it very sweet and gritty doent sound good but so many memories does anybody know what I AM TALKING ABOUT LOL

    This is a recipe that I wish my Momma had! She never made this candy the same way twice. Sometimes is was great--othertimes we would as a sauce for gingerbread or cake icing--still great--but not fudge.

    This is good & quick. The hardest part was figuring out if my lump of butter was the size of a walnut! :)

    I may have to try this one. I can always get a fudge NOT to set up, but of course I just eat it with a spoon anyway, lol.
