Dutch Oven Cub Scout Lasagna

- 12 qt Dutch Oven shopping list
- Large cooking pot shopping list
- vegetable oil shopping list
- 3 lbs of lean ground beef shopping list
- 1 lb of pork sausage shopping list
- 1 box of lasagna noodles shopping list
- 2 lbs of shredded mozzarella cheese shopping list
- 2 large jar of spaghetti sauce shopping list
How to make it
- Brown ground beef and sausage in Dutch Oven
- Cook lasagna noodles just until they are able bend but do not cook thoroughly...remove from water.
- Remove meat from dutch oven and drain if needed.
- Pour sauce into meat and mix
- Coat Dutch Oven with vegetable oil
- Line bottom of Dutch Oven with single layer of noodles
- Place a layer of meat/sauce mixture over noodles
- Place a layer of cheese over meat
- Repeat Layering until noodles and meat have all been used
- Apply a generous layer of cheese on top and cover
- Place Dutch Oven on top of 12 hot coals
- Place 16 hot coals on lid of Dutch Oven
- Turn Dutch Oven 1/4 turn every 15 minutes
- Total cooking time is about an 1 and 20 minutes
- Top layer of cheese will be slightly golden and crispy
