How to make it

  • 1. Sautee sliced peppers in butter until soft, add sliced mushrooms to peppers. Remove once mushrooms are golden. Keep aside
  • 2. Sautee chicken in a pan with butter.
  • Add ginger and garlic.
  • Add green chillies if desired.
  • Make a white sauce by melting butter in a pot. Stir in flour for 1 minute. Gradually stir in milk until mixture is smooth and thickened. (Don’t make too thick, sauce thickens when it stands) Season to taste, add cheese and stir until melted.
  • **Add 250ml fresh cream to make a rich sauce.
  • In a casserole, combine Vegetables, chicken and white sauce.
  • Top with Mozzarella/Cheddar cheese
  • **Add salt but not too much, smoked chicken is very salty!
  • Bake in oven at 180C to melt cheese until golden
