Homemade Mexican Chorizo (turkey)

- • 1 lb ground turkey (can substitute pork) shopping list
- • 1/4 c cider vinegar shopping list
- • 2 tbl chili powder shopping list
- • 1 tbl sweet paprika shopping list
- • 1 tsp ground cumin shopping list
- • .75 tsp table salt shopping list
- • 1 tsp garlic pwder shopping list
- • 1/2 tsp ground coriander shopping list
- • 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes or cayenne shopping list
- • 1/8 tsp ground cloves shopping list
- • 1/8 tsp ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- Combine the chili powder, paprika, cumin, salt, garlic powder, coriander, oregano, red pepper, ground clove and pepper in a mixing bowl, and stir until well combined. (can be done in FP)
- Add cider vinegar and stir into a paste.
- Add ground meat and kneed until spices are well incorporated.
- You can use immediately, but for best flavor, place in an airtight container in the fridge over night.
- Form into patties or just fry the loose meat into a scramble in a skillet until done.
- I like to divide into 3 baggies and use one pkg for Mexican Chorizo Baskets
