How to make it

  • Put cider, cranberries, ginger, cinnamon stick, nutmeg and juice from the lemons in slow cooker.
  • Cook on low several hours, stirring once in a while, to blend and concentrate flavors.
  • To serve, ladle into mugs or heat safe glasses to about 3/4 full then top off with room temperature ginger ale, beer or wine.
  • The cranberries get very soft, skins and all, and are a fun burst of tart in the otherwise sweet drink, so add some to each glass! :)
