How to make it

  • Fill pot with 2 quarts of water add salt and bring to a boil, Add Cranberries, Cloves, Cinnamon and Allspice, (If you have a tea ball it is perfect for holding the Cloves and Allspice.) Reduce heat and simmer for twenty minutes ensuring that all the cranberries have popped.
  • While the Cranberries are boiling add the 2 cups sugar, Orange juice and Lemon juice to a bowl that can hold at least five quarts.
  • Place a strainer over the bowl and a cheese cloth(optional) on top of the strainer.
  • CAUTION HOT, After the twenty minutes turn off the heat and VERY CAREFULLY and slowly pour the cranberries and liquid into the bowl through the strainer, drain thoroughly and set the strainer aside. Stir the tea until all the sugar is dissolved. Add 2 quarts of water so that the finished volume is 4 quarts. Enjoy. Store in the refrigerator.

  • pick out the pieces of Cinnamon. Cloves and Allspice and place the cranberries in a blender with sugar to your taste add some lemon juice to preserve flavor and color, blend tell smooth, makes a fantastic jam for toast, bagels, pancakes and so much more. enjoy.
