Honey Ricotta Yeast Bread

- 1 tsp instant yeast shopping list
- 2 ½ cups whole wheat bread flour shopping list
- ½ cup bulgur wheat shopping list
- ¼ cup toasted sesame seeds shopping list
- 1 cup Richer Ricotta cheese (or whole milk storebought ricotta) shopping list
- ¼ cup honey shopping list
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame oil shopping list
- ¼ cup milk shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
How to make it
- In a large bowl (or the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the dough hook), combine the yeast, flour, bulgur and sesame seeds.
- Whisk together the ricotta, honey, sesame oil, milk and salt and add to the flour mixture.
- Knead for 10 minutes on low speed, or by hand for 12 minutes.
- Cover and let rest for 40 minutes.
- Deflate dough, shape into a loaf and place in a greased 9x5” pan.
- Cover and let rise 1 hour.
- Preheat oven to 450F.
- Place loaf in the oven and immediately reduce the temperature to 375F.
- Bake for 40 minutes, until hollow sounding inside. Tent with foil after 20 minutes to prevent over-browning.
