North Croatian Pork And Sauerkraut Stew (sekeli Gulash)

- 700 g pork (neck part, no bones) shopping list
- 150 g onion shopping list
- 100 g lard shopping list
- 1 tablespoon tomato sauce shopping list
- 1 tablespoon flour shopping list
- 1 teaspoon paprika (red, dried) shopping list
- 1 teaspoon caraway seeds shopping list
- 1 bay leaf shopping list
- 1 cup white wine shopping list
- 800 g sauerkraut shopping list
- 100 g sour cream shopping list
- pepper shopping list
- salt shopping list
How to make it
- Cut pork meat into small pieces. Finely slice onion and sauté it on lard until soft. Add paprika and mix.
- Add meat and tomato sauce and continue to sauté it.
- After 10 to 15 minutes add sauerkraut (sliced), bay leaf and wine.
- Add water and brine (if you like it really sour). Cook 30 to 40 minutes on low fire. At the end add flour and mix well (optional). Before serving add sour cream and mix.
