How to make it

  • Cut the bacon in cubes approximately 2 cm large.
  • Put it in a large pot and fry it until bacon melts.
  • When you see “cvarci” became yellow in color and start to chirp put the whole onion in it and let it fry not more than 3 minutes.
  • Before taking them out add milk and fry until they become gold (optional – otherwise cvarci will be grayish).
  • Drain “cvarci” and save the liquid fat in a pot. You can use it for preparing food (actually, this is lard, but homemade and excellent)
