How to make it

  • Heat milk to just a boil and stir in grits. Reduce heat and cover for 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat and add putter, salt, cayenne and cheese.
  • Use a big wooden spoon to start mixing all ingredients and add beaten eggs and stir until fully mixed.
  • Pour into well-buttered, deep casserole dish and bake, uncovered for 1 hr 10 min, or until well-puffed and golden brown.

    No cheap instant grits...
    Just...TRUE GRITS!
    One thing about soufflé have to be very careful they don't fall :o)
