Fresh Mozzarella Basil "Pizz'alad"

- 1 cup field greens shopping list
- 1 vine-ripened or plum tomato, sliced thin shopping list
- 1/2 whole-grain pita, sliced widthwise, not lengthwise (slice along edge of round) shopping list
- 1 ounce fresh mozzarella, sliced thin shopping list
- 1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon minced garlic shopping list
- 6- 8 fresh basil leaves, shopping list
- 1 tablespoon balsamic vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat the oven to 450' F. Lay the pita, outer side facing up, on a piece of foil. Rub the pita with the olive oil. Pre bake in the oven at 450°F for three to five minutes or until slightly crisp. Top with the garlic, basil. tomato, and mozzarella. Bake in the oven at 450'F for five to eight minutes. Remove from the oven, transfer to a plate, cover with the greens, drizzle with balsamic, and serve.
