Seared Tuna With Pesto Sauce

- 200g/7oz good-quality fresh tuna shopping list
- salt and freshly ground black pepper shopping list
- dash olive oil shopping list
- For the pesto shopping list
- 2 large handful fresh basil leaves shopping list
- 2 tbsp pine nuts shopping list
- 2 sun dried tomatoes in oil, drained shopping list
- 1 garlic clove, peeled shopping list
- 3 tbsp olive oil shopping list
- salt and freshly ground black pepper shopping list
How to make it
- For the seared tuna, season the tuna with salt and freshly ground black pepper and rub with olive oil.
- Heat a little olive oil in a frying pan, add the tuna and sear on all sides for 30 seconds. I enjoy mine pretty rare. Remove from the heat and keep warm.
- For the pesto, place all the pesto ingredients into a mini blender and blend until smooth.
- I served with with couscous.
