How to make it

  • Cut squash in half, take out seeds and stringy part and lay on baking sheet
  • Drizzle with olive oil salt and pepper and place in preheated 400 degree oven, bake for 40 minutes
  • Dot with a 1/2 tsp butter on each piece and continue to cook another 10 minutes
  • In skillet over med heat, brown ground beef
  • Stir in mushrooms and cook until mushrooms are tender, about 4 minutes
  • Stir in sauce and 1/2 cup cheese, lower heat and cover.
  • Cook sauce 5 minutes or until warmed through
  • Remove squash from oven and allow to sit 5 minutes
  • Using fork, scrape squash, it will resemble spaghetti noodles, place in bowl and drizzle with melted butter, sprinkle with creole seasons.
  • Add 1/2 cup of Parmesan cheese and toss
  • Plate desired amount of squash on plate, top with sauce and sprinkle additional cheese on top
