How to make it

  • Toss the shallots in two tablespoons oil in a bowl,and stir in the three fourth teaspoon salt,and one half teaspoon pepper...set aside.
  • Combine together the one tablespoon salt,onion powder,garlic powder,pepper,and thyme.
  • Rub the tenderloin with one fourth cup of oil,and then sprinkle the seasonings over top and sides of tenderloin,pressing gently with fingers.

  • Remove the tenderloin to a serving platter and cover...reserve shallots and drippings in pan,add broth reduction to pan,and place over medium heat on cooktop,stirring to loosen particles from bottom of pan...whisk the flour and water together until smooth,stir into sauce in roasting pan,cook and stir constantly until slightly thickened,add butter,stir just until melted,then pepper...Thinly slice roast and serve with sauce...and

  • Beat one cup softened country butter at medium speed with mixer until creamy,add one cup white sugar and one cup firmly packed light brown sugar,beating well,add two large eggs,homemade vanilla,and beat until blended,process two and one half cups of uncooked regular oats in a food processor until finely ground,combine oats,two cups flour,one teaspoon baking power,one half teaspoon baking soda,one half teaspoon salt,adding the butter mixture and beating well,stir in three chilled and chopped packages of chocolate covered caramel candies...rolo's...then eight ounces chopped white chocolate bars,and one and one half cups unsalted peanuts,chopped...Shape into one and one half inch shape,place on parchment paper lined sheets,and bake at three hundred seventy five degrees for about ten minutes,or until lightly browned,cool for a minute on sheets,remove and cool on wire racks
