Ingredients
  • CAKE:
  • * ¼ cup salad oil (OR: melted shortening)
  • * 1 beaten egg
  • * ½ cup milk
  • * 1½ cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • * ¾ cup sugar
  • * 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • * ½ teaspoon salt
  • TOPPING:
  • * ¼ cup brown sugar
  • * 1 Tablespoon flour
  • * 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • * 1 Tablespoon melted butter
  • * ½ cup broken nuts

Directions
  1. CAKE: Combine salad oil, egg and milk. Sift together dry ingredients; add milk mixture; mix well. Pour into 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan.
  2. TOPPING: Combine brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, melted butter and broken nuts; sprinkle over batter. Bake in moderate oven at 375° F for about 25 minutes or till done. Serve warm.
