How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 and grease a 2.5 liter baking dish
  • Beat milk, egg, granulated garlic, and pepper sauce in a bowl
  • Bring water and salt to a boil in a saucepan; cook and stir grits in boiling water (3-5 minutes)
  • Remove from heat; add butter and half of the shredded cheddar
  • Stir egg mixture into the grits, then puor into the prepared baking dish
  • Sprinkle remaining cheddar cheese over the grits
  • Bake in preheated oven until cheese has melted and grits have set ( about 1 hour)
  • Cool 20 to 30 minutes before serving.
  • Grits should be cornbread like
