Ingredients

  • - 4 English hothouse cucumbers ( I prefer to use the little Arabic/Persian cucumbers, if available. They are crisper & more flavorful.) shopping list
  • - 5 and 1/2 ounces tequila shopping list
  • - 5 and 1/2 ounces Triple Sec shopping list
  • - 4 ounces grapefruit juice (fresh-squeezed is best) shopping list
  • -12 ounces cucumber juice ( see recipe below ) shopping list
  • - 2 teaspoons sugar ( super-fine sugar isa lot easier to incorporate) shopping list
  • - lime wedges & kosher salt for glass rims shopping list

How to make it

  • 1) Make cucumber juice from the English or Arabic cucumbers mentioned above. Put peeled cucumber chunks in blender & blend until liquified ( pushing chunks down with rubber spatula, as needed ).
  • 2) Set pulp in a fine-mesh strainer over a bowl.Mash juice through strainer with a spatula..
  • 3) Pour all the liquid ingredients ( tequila, triple sec, grapefruit juice & cucumber juice) into a jug, Add sugar & stir until completely dissolved.
  • 4) Run lime wedge along rims of glasses; invert glasses into kosher salt & spin, then bump excess of of glasses.
  • 5) Fill glass with ice & completed margarita & enjoy!
