Meat Baklavastyle Pie

- 500 grams minced beef/lamb shopping list
- 500grams Filo Pastry shopping list
- 1&1/3 cube magi chicken broth shopping list
- 1cup milk shopping list
- 1/2cup clear chicken broth shopping list
- 1egg shopping list
- 1/2cup melted butter/ghee shopping list
- 1 cup finely chopped onion shopping list
- 1/2tablespoon minced garlic shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon of each divided into two batches: black pepper cinnamon powder nutmeg ground cardamom and salt to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Heat your oven to 200c
- Let Filo reach room temperature
- Saute onion with sprinkle of sugar until yellow add garlic meat and half of peppers. As soon as meat is 2/3 cooked add two tablespoons water and salt and 1/3 broth cube
- Warm milk pour over cracked egg broth 2nd batch peppers and 1 broth cube and mix well.
- Divide filo pack in two batches. Paint bottom of 30 cm bakin pan with butter spread three sheets filo at a time and paint with butter then pile another batch keep goin until u exhaust half of pack spread meat mix that cooled evenly then repeat filo lining n painting for top layer. With a serated knife cut filo tray into squares and pour egg milk broth mix on top.ur tray should look like a grid. cutting bfor baking makes even tidy pieces. Let tray rest 15 mins before bakin n pat it down with ur palm to fully incorporate the liquids.
- Bake for 40 minutes on lower thermostat and 15 minutes upper thermostat at 200 c until filo is golden and liquid evaporates. ur tray should rise fluff n crisp. wait 15 min fr tray to cool then serve.
