How to make it

  • 1. Cook Sausage and onions until sausage is done. Remove as much fat as you can with a wad of paper towels. Then add your garlic, and bacon bits. Cook and stir for 3 minutes. Add potatoes, water or broth and base to pan. Bring to a boil, turn down to a simmer. Simmer 15 minutes. Add spinach and half and half, simmer another 4 minutes.
  • 2. Serve with Parmigiano Reggiano or Pecorino Romano cheese.

    this comes together so fast I amazed me I really thought it was going to be a little tougher to put together. and OH YUM! we are warming back up for a few days. once it cools again I am going to make this with the homemade Italian sausage recipe I have (from Zio Isadoro) using ground chicken.
