Gagootza With Onion & Poached Egg

- Extra Virgin Olive Oil shopping list
- 1 Medium size Gagootza cut into 1 inch pieces shopping list
- 1 Large Onion sliced thin shopping list
- 2 Garlic cloves grated shopping list
- Salt shopping list
- black pepper shopping list
- 1 Bay leaf shopping list
- One 28 ounce can Plum Tomatoes cut up shopping list
- 8 Eggs shopping list
- Grated cheese shopping list
- Crusty Italian bread shopping list
How to make it
- Heat a dutch oven or heavy pot with enough oil to saute the gagootza onion.
- When they start to soften add the garlic. When you smell the aroma of the garlic add salt and pepper to taste. Add the bay leaf and the tomato.
- Bring it to a boil and reduce it to a simmer. Taste and adjust with seasoning if needed.
- When tender Make little spaces and drop an egg in each space you can sprinkle with some cheese then just cover and let the eggs poach I like all the eggs on the soft side not hard but its how ever you like them.
- Place a piece of Italian bread in a wide bowl ladle the with the gagootza and a egg on top. Manga!
