Hot Milk Cake

This is a very old recipe that was my Mom's. Regardless of where I take it, there are never any leftovers."
Ingredients
- 4 eggs shopping list
- 2 cups sugar shopping list
- 2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 t baking powder shopping list
- 2 t vanilla shopping list
- 2 T butter melted , melted into shopping list
- 1 cup hot milk shopping list
- Topping: 6 T butter shopping list
- 3/4 cup brown sugar shopping list
- 4 T milk shopping list
- 1 cup coconut shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350
- Beat eggs and sugar together until thick
- Sift together flour and baking powder
- Add vanilla to egg mixture
- Melt the butter in the hot milk
- Add all together and mix well
- Pour into prepared 13x9 glass pan
- Bake for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean
- Allow cake to cool for 5 minutes.
- Spoon topping on cake with a fork.
- Toast under broiler until golden.
