How to make it

  • Melt margarine in sauce pan add flour and whisk until blended. Cook until slightly brown.
  • Slowly add mild to margarine and flour mixture and simmer until it thickens.The sauce will thicken while it cooks.
  • Season with salt, pepper and parsley. Turn burner to simmer.
  • Put a thin layer of sauce in casserole dish, top with potatoes, onion. Repeat until you use it all.
  • Place in o350 oven, covered for one hour. Uncover last 20 minutes to brown.
  • ****Your baking dish should be will greased.
