How to make it

  • 1. Saute beef till almost pink is gone, Drain.
  • 2. Return to stove on medium high heat and add chopped onion.
  • 3. Saute till onion is tender.
  • 4. Add rice, cabbage, tomatoe sauce, water, diced tomatoes and seasonings.
  • 5. Bring to boil, cover and then lower to medium low heat. Simmer 20-30 minutes till rice and cabbage are soft.
  • DO NOT OPEN LID FOR FIRST 20 MINUTES SO RICE COOKS PROPERLY.
  • 6. Add cheese and cook till melted

    This looks really good. I love cheese but can't eat it , saving to make when it's colder and I'm craving comfort food.
