Sweet Oatmeal Flax Bars

- 5 tbsp.butter(or coconut oil) shopping list
- 3 tbsp brown sugar shopping list
- 1/4 cup Fancy molasses shopping list
- 2 and 1/2 cup rolled oats ( I use lactose, gluten free oats) shopping list
- 2 tbsp ground flax or almond meal shopping list
- 1/2 tsp vanilla shopping list
How to make it
- In a medium -sized pot combine butter(or coconut oil), molasses,and sugar
- heat over medium heat until butter has melted and sugar has dissolved
- boil for 60 seconds
- remove from heat and add vanilla
- stir in rolled oats and flax(or almond meal). Mix well
- press into well greased (or parchment paper lined) pie pan
- bake at 350* F for 20 -25 minutes, until edges begin to darken
- cool completely in pan
- cut into wedges while still in the pan or upend on a cutting board to slice.
