Large, Round ,fluffy Dumplings For Chicken And Dumplings

- 2 cups sifted all purpose flour shopping list
- 1 TBS baking powder shopping list
- 1 tsp salt shopping list
- 1/4 tsp monosodium glutamate ( I am giving recipe as stated but I no longer inude this when making them.) shopping list
- 1/4 cup shortening shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
How to make it
- Mix 1st 4 ingredients in a bowl.
- With a pastry blender or fork and knife, cut in the shortening until it looks like coarse corn meal. Slowly add milk mixing with a fork stirring as little as possible. Drop by tablespoon fulls into the hot chicken broth. Immediately, cover pot and simmer for 12-15 minutes.
