How to make it

  • Using a electric mixer w/stand and the whisk attachment, beat the egg whites, powdered sugar, cream of tarter and salt on medium-low speed until blended. Add the vanilla (if desired) and increase speed to medium-high (6 on stand mixer) and continue to beat until stiff peaks form and mixture nearly triples in volume - 8 minutes.
  • Cover tightly until ready to use. Best to use disposable cake decorating bags with tips and seal until ready to use.
  • Allow to set for at least 6 hours before decorating houses.
  • One batch will assemble six small houses.
