- • 26 oz (about 750ml) decent dry red wine, chilled. shopping list
- • 8 oz (about 250ml) plane brandy) shopping list
- • 8 oz (250ml) orange juice, fresh is best. shopping list
- • 1 medium orange, cut into 1/8ths. shopping list
- • 1 large apple, cut into 1/8ths. (use 2 but I like apples). shopping list
- • 12 oz (350ml) ginger ale, chilled. shopping list
- • A good sized chunk of ice. A chunk does work best. shopping list
- • A good sized, food grade, container, with lid, to hold all of this. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Put all of the ingredients except the ice in a suitable container. Remember to have room for the ice.
- 2. Cover, put in a cool place and let stand for at least one hour, stirring occasionally.
- 3. Add the ice and stir until chilled.
- 4. Serve.
- I normally put two or three ice cubes in each glass when I serve this and I keep the container covered so it doesn’t get watered down. Enjoy.
- If you’re doing heaps of this, you can transfer some to a Sangria pitcher, so the guests can help themselves See Photo. Keep it covered, with a dish towel.
