Almond Halva

- almonds - 11/2 cups shopping list
- sugar- 1 cup shopping list
- Milk- 1 cup shopping list
- Ghee- 1 1/2 cup shopping list
- Saffron - 1 pinch shopping list
- cardamom powder - 3 pinch shopping list
- almond flavor- 4-5 drops shopping list
How to make it
- Soak almonds in water overnight, peel off the skin and blanch it. ( before peeling soak the almonds in hot water for mins, so it peels easily)
- In a processor add almonds, saffron and milk and blend till smooth.
- Heat bout 1 cup of ghee in pan, add the puree, stir in a low- medium heat.
- Stir frequenly to avoid sticking at he bottom.
- when the mixture thickens and begins to leave the sides of the pan, and some more ghee, cardamom powder and almond drops. Turn off the heat.
- Put the halwa in a separate vessel.
- Cool it ans serve.
