Bbq Bacon Wrapped Beef

- The sauce: shopping list
- • ¼ cup cold water. shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. raisins. shopping list
- • ¼ cup balsamic vinegar. shopping list
- • 2 tsp. Worcestershire sauce. shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. ketchup. shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. Dijon mustard. shopping list
- • a pinch of cayenne, Optional. shopping list
- • 1 garlic clove, minced. shopping list
- • Salt & FG pepper to taste. shopping list
- The meat: shopping list
- • 1 lb. (500 g) fresh beef mince. shopping list
- • 1 lb. (500 g) sliced, very Smokey bacon. shopping list
- • Some toothpicks. shopping list
How to make it
- The sauce:
- 1. Combine the Ingredients; puree, and put on the stove on low heat.
- 2. Bring to a slow simmer for 15 minutes, stirring.
- 3. After 15 minutes, strain this through a fine mesh strainer. Using the back of a teaspoon squeeze out all the juice.
- 4. Let this cool completely.
- 5. Once cool, adjust seasoning.
- The Meat:
- 1. Fire up the Barbie.
- 2. Form the beef mince into sticks about the size of a man’s index finger.
- 3. Wrap each stick in a slice of bacon and fasten with a toothpick. See Photo
- 4. Lay the wrapped sticks on a large platter or baking sheet.
- 5. Brush each stick with the sauce. Be generous.
- 6. Flip and do the other side.
- 7. Take these out to the cook shack. See Photo
- Put these on the hot Barbie and cook to desired doneness, turning as needed. See Photo
- 8. Serve. See Photo
- I had some fresh corn so I boiled that up. Potatoes come to mind but decided to do Spaetzle. Spaetzle German Egg Noodles
- I suppose you could bake these but I have no idea of times.
