Arrabiata Sauce

- • 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil. shopping list
- • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes. shopping list
- • 3 to 4 cloves garlic, minced. shopping list
- • 1 small to medium onion, chopped. shopping list
- • 1/2 cup white wine (or chicken broth). shopping list
- • Two 15-oz. (425 g.) cans crushed tomatoes. shopping list

- • Pinch sugar. shopping list
- • Salt and freshly ground black pepper. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Add a tablespoon or so of olive oil to a hot pan over medium-high heat, throw in the red pepper flakes, garlic and onions and give them a stir.
- 2. Add the wine (or chicken broth), whisking to deglaze the bottom of the pan.
- 3. Cook until the liquid reduces by half.
- 4. Add the crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning and stir to combine. See Photo
- 5. Add a pinch of sugar and some salt and FG pepper to taste.
- 6. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 30 minutes.
- 7. Let cool, then portion into 4 freezer bags and freeze.
