Thick Egg Pasta With Shrimp, Bacon And Spices

- • 3 cups thick egg pasta bits. You can sub any short, store bought pasta but the dish will change and be less “real”. shopping list
- • 1 cup small, prepped and cooked shrimp. shopping list
- • 2 to 3 strips fatty bacon, chopped. shopping list
- • 4 ripe olives, sliced thin. shopping list
- • 1 tsp. capers, drained. shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. roasted red bell peppers, diced. shopping list
- • 1 Tbs. olive oil. The old fashioned kind that you can taste. shopping list
- • ½ tsp. red wine vinegar. shopping list
- • 1 tsp. fresh parsley, chopped. shopping list
- • Salt and FG pepper to taste. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Prep your stuff: Slice, chop, etc.
- 2. Get out your wok and heat the olive oil to sauté temp.
- 3. Add the bacon and cook until almost done.
- 4. Add the shrimp and bell pepper, cook, stirring, for 1 – 2 minutes, combining flavors.
- 5. Add the pasta bits and cook, stirring, for 1 more minute.
- 6. Turn off the heat, cover and let come to room temp.
- 7. Once at room temp, put the wok stuff in a suitable bowl and add the rest of the ingredients. Mix well but with a gentle hand.
- 8. Let rest 30 minutes, stirring once.
- 9. Divide into two bowls and serve at room temp.
