From elgourmand2 8 years agoIngredients
- • One 8 oz. (235 mls.) stemmed glass cup of freshly brewed best quality hot coffee. shopping list
- • 1 tsp. white sugar. shopping list
- • 2 oz. (60 mil.) Bushmills Irish whiskey. Shamus was known to have a liberal hand here. shopping list
- • 2-3 Tbs. freshly whipped cream. No cool whip, miracle whip, etc. shopping list
- • A few drops of Cream de Month liquor. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Brew up the coffee and pour into the glass, leaving 2 in. (5 cm.) head space. The coffee should be no hotter than 165° F. (75° C.) to avoid cooking off the alcohol.
- 2. Add the sugar and stir.
- 3. Add 2 oz. Bushmills Irish Whisky. Jamison’s will work. Stir gently.
- 4. Whip the cream until it’s stiff and will hold a peak.
- 5. Gently spoon the cream onto the coffee. Done properly, the cream will not cloud the coffee.
- 6. Gently drip a few drops of Cream de Month onto the cream.
- 7. Serve.
