From elgourmand2 8 years agoIngredients
- • 1/4 cup honey. shopping list
- • 2 Tbs. vegetable oil. shopping list
- • 1 Tbs. apple cider vinegar. shopping list
- • 1 tsp. ground cumin. shopping list
- • 1/2 tsp. red pepper flakes. shopping list
- • Eight 1 in. bone-in pork chops (about 5 oz. each). shopping list
- • Salt and freshly ground black pepper. shopping list
How to make it
- 1. Begin by making the marinade. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, oil, vinegar, cumin and red pepper flakes. Easy, right?
- 2. Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with salt and pepper and place in a re-sealable plastic bag with the marinade. Let rest on the counter for 1 hour. That's easy.
- 3. Get a fire going in your barbe or heat a grill over medium heat. Remove the pork chops from the bag, drain and lightly sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place on the grill and cook until the pork chop releases from the grill, about 4 minutes.
- 4. Flip and cook on the other side for another 4 minutes. See, really easy!
- You can do these indoors on a stovetop grill if you like. They do need to be grilled, not steamed, fried or poached.
- Serve with grits and medium ripe tomatoes sautéed in butter. Pretty easy.
